Security checks at Dwaraka Tirumala temple

Dwaraka Tirumala (West Godavari): Police pressed into service sniffer dog squad as part of their security checks in the famous Venkateswara Swamy temple here. The temple is well known as Chinna Tirupati. The checks were conducted on the temple premises, important road junctions in the town and busy traffic points, vehicles and various articles used by devotees. In-charge of the operation Nageswara Rao, speaking on the occasion, informed that the drive was part of the State-wide security alert in the important temples.
