Home to the superhero sisters, Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, Cartoon Network carved the marvelous story of the trio that has been saving the day with heroic acts for 20 years. Changing the trend with their power, intellect, faith and warrior instincts, they continue to win millions of hearts around the world.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary in India, Cartoon Network, in partnership with The Souled Store, has announced a colossal campaign for its top grossing franchise. As a part of a month-long campaign, Cartoon Network India unveils the inaugural list that celebrates girl power, called the POW-fect Girls list.

This list features 20 extraordinary women from the diverse worlds of entertainment, arts and fashion, literature, fitness and sports, and entrepreneurship. Leaders in their fields, the POW-fect Girls are contemporary role-models who have redefined the rules of success, power and paved their way to unprecedented triumph.

On this momentous occasion, the women leaders shared their love for the amazing trio that inspired them and expressed their excitement for the campaign. Actor Mithila Palkar, one of the POW-fect Girls, said, “Happiness is the key, girls should always be happy and spread it too!”. She also mentioned that her grandmother has been her real life Powerpuff Girl and her pillar of inspiration while growing up.

Fashion designer, Nandita Mahtani said, “For me the Powerpuff girls are metaphors for fearlessness. From their early years of schooling, these girls have fought each problem with a courageous attitude. They are realistic and like every girl-next-door, these girls are imperfect with their set of strengths and weaknesses. I want to wish the Powerpuff Girls a very happy 20th Anniversary and here’s to another 20 years ahead!”

The terrific trio that they are, Mohan Sisters- Shakti, Mukti and Neeti Mohan mentioned, “The Powerpuff Girls is the first and the only cartoon series that celebrates girl power; the show features three female leads, three girls coming together and fighting as superheroes. They give a strong message that you can fly and conquer the world.” Inspiring young girls out there, they added, “We would like to say that believe in the girl child- be the power for the girl child and treat them with equality.”

Entrepreneur Revathi Roy gave an important message to the young girls, saying “Keep going forward, let yourself free and don’t think about the barriers. Never give up.” Sports star and Indian shooter Heena Sidhu said, “Enjoy the hard work you are putting into the process. And educate the girl child- education is the foundation of everything around us.”

The POW-fect Girls list features Ira Dubey, Sucheta Pal, Mithila Palkar, Kubbra Sait, Rani Rampal, Heena Sidhu, Revathi Roy, Pooja Dhingra, Pernia Qureshi, Nandita Mahatani, Rouble Nagi, Mohan Sisters - Shakti Mohan, Neeti Mohan, Mukti Mohan, RJ Malishka, Mansi Zaveri, Kamiya Jani, Shweta Tripathi, Shibani Dandekar, Anaita Shroff Adajania, Harnidh Kaur and Sairee Chahal. Shaping the way, we think and act, these 20 women leaders are bound by values and beliefs that chime with the Powerpuff Girls.
