A baby brings joy and happiness in every household. To have a baby is a feeling every parent cherishes for the rest of their lives. Right from the first cry to the first word spoken to their first steps and their first day at school to the day they graduate. Consequently, the feeling of not being able to have a baby is a challenging time for couples nowadays.

Every couple hopes for their family to be complete and want their children to continue their legacy even after them. Dr Padmaja Divakar runs a fertility centre in Hyderabad where she helps couples to conceive a child. She aids in ending the long wait eager couples have to go through in hope to complete their family. She makes this possible by means of the In Vitro Fertilization treatment.

She is a post graduate in Gynobs from Osmania Medical College with 20 years stand in private medical practice by establishing a maternity hospital “Navya Nursing Home” in Bhongir Town, Hyderabad. After starting her IVF practice there, she also started her ART Centre in 2010 named “Dr Padmaja Fertility Centre” in Hasbiguda, Hyderabad. Her husband, M Divakar Reddy also assists her and is the managing director of the company.

The company has three units and every unit is assisted with 10 Gynecologists, 10 assistant doctors and five embryologists. These groups named as Team @PFC and they are doing a great job in all infertility treatment solutions like ICSI, SUROGACY, IUI and IVF. IVF surrogacy uses a third party “gestational surrogate” to carry the pregnancy when a patient is unable to carry a baby to term herself.

The gestational surrogate may also be called the “gestational carrier” or “gestational mother”. The gestational surrogate signs a contract with the intended parent or parents to undergo an embryo transfer procedure using embryos created through IVF and to carry the resulting pregnancy. This way, a woman or man challenged with infertility faces the prospect of giving birth to a child. Challenged by social evils, “Our country has a number of social evils which really harm our heritage and one of them is certainly the selling of babies.

Rich people dealing with infertility pay a high price to the poor and convince them to sell their babies. This practice greatly affects every segment of the Indian society,” Says Dr Padmaja. Dr Padmaja with her team wants to confront this challenge and overcome this national problem. She wants to give every couple an opportunity to be able to have a family of their own and not involve themselves into such illegal practices.
