Vasavi and CMR get Microsoft technology

Two premiere engineering colleges in the city �Vasavi and CMR have got access to high end advanced technology from Microsoft. Innovation Centres of Micosoft were launched at both the colleges on Monday. Joseph Landes, GM, DPE, MicrosoftIndia has inaugurated both the centres along with Phani Kondepudi Director-Academia. The state-of-the-art technology facilitates for collaboration on innovative research, technology or software solutions, involving a combination of Government, academic and industry participation. Joseph Landes asked the students to use the Microsoft Innovation Center in a big way stating MICs act as innovation hubs and gives hands on support on Microsoft technology, innovation research and software solutions. Speaking on the occasion at Vasavi, Phani Kondepudi, tried to motivate the students to develop entrepreneurship capabilities and start realizing their innovations through Startup Companies, for which Microsoft would do the necessary. He briefed about the upcoming and latest technologies Microsoft offers and also had patiently went through the Apps developed for Windows Phone 7 & Windows 8 in the Innovation center at Vasavi College of Engineering. An MOU was exchanged between Microsoft & Vasavi College of Engineering. Management members P Ramamohan Rao, President, Vasavi Academy of Education, was among those who were present.
