Euphoria at OU Tech Fest

University College of Technology, Osmania University, Hyderabad, organised TechnoSmania-2K13, a national level techno fest on its college premises. The three day techno fest was inaugurated by OU Vice Chancellor Prof S Satyanarayana . The event gave opportunity for students to flaunt their skills in technical quizzes, short film making, Treasure hunt, ABCD- Dance competition and paper presentation. HMTV-The Hans India were the media partners of the event. The event witnessed guest lecture by guest of honour, K V Raghavan, Retd scientist, former director, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) on Re-engineering chemical process plans for process intensification. With five amalgam of five departments (Dept. of Chemical technology, Food Technology, Textile Technology Bio-Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Department of Pharmacy), the event were categorized, into Catalysis, food Synergism, Tex Chroma and Kalakshetra. The students were exposed to various technologies involved in making textiles. Hands on workshop gave students to know different software that are being used in the food technology, while guest lecture on chemical technology gave awareness on emerging trends in chemical technology. About 500 students from all over the India were seen competing in various competitions. The three day event will be concluded today with guest lecture in food technology, chemical technology. Apart from the guest lecture, treasure hunt, general quiz and war of DJs are scheduled for final day.
