Nigeria team visits OU

A high powered academic delegation of the Sokoto State University, Nigeria, visited Osmania University and interacted with Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S Satyanarayana on Tuesday.

The academic team from Sokoto is headed by Sokoto State University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nuhu Yaqub. Prof. Nuhu Yaqub and his team members sought academic help and support from Osmania University to kick start their academic programmes scheduled to start from October, 2013. Prof.Nuhu Yaqub discussed matters related to the framing of the syllabus components, virtual classrooms, teacher and student exchange programmes and research support facilities.

The Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University promised full academic support to the visiting team from Sokoto State University. The Registrar of OU Prof. MSN Reddy participated in the deliberations.

Later, the visiting team visited the Centre for Research and Development Centre, OU Prof. Venugopal Reddy, Director, CFRD, explained the team all the facilities provided by the centre. Prof. Venugopal Rao, Director, UFRO and Prof. G.B. Reddy, Joint Director of UFRO explained the team that more than 4000 foreign students from 80 different countries are pursuing their education at Osmania University.

The team from Sokoto State University visited Library and Arts College of OU and appreciated the infrastructure facilities available on the campus.
