I have cleared Level II of RoboGen X contest. What next? Congrats. Now, you have qualified for the Grand Finale (Level III) that will be held in Hyderabad from 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Nampally Exhibition Grounds, Hyderabad. All those who qualified for level III will bring in their robots and display it for the jury to judge the prize winner. A noted VIP and celebrity will attend the event to give away the awards. Can I take part individually or as a group? We allow only groups to take part. Minimum number in a group is three and maximum is five. One school or institute can send any number of groups from those who qualified for this level. How do we make the robots. Where can we get the material from? How much does it cost? The material for the robots is available in Hyderabad at Koti. Majority of the participants for the final level are from Hyderabad. Students can buy 'robot kits' from Modern Electronics Ph � (040�24756908); and Roland Electronics (040 � 24756823, 9885460411) from Gujarati Galli, next to SBI in Koti, Hyderabad. The robot kits come with enough material to be help you make a robot. The kits have elaborate instructions and directions to assemble the parts to make a working robot. The rest of it depends on the creativity of the groups on how to improvise it better and win the prize. The cost of kits range from Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000. You can also take the help of engineering students to guide to the right shop. Those from cities other than Hyderabad can contact 8143753473 to find out where you can buy from your city. Contact engineering students in your area for guidance on where to buy it. On what basis are the marks given and the winner declared? It depends on the uniqueness of the idea, working, ease with which it works and answers to the queries by the jury team. Winners will be awarded the same evening.
