Of the 19,533 candidates who appeared for the Lawcet-2013 examination on June 6, as many as 17,290 have passed. The S V University Vice-chancellor Prof. W Rajendra on Monday released the results. Students of Osmania University secured the first rank in all the courses.

He told media persons along with Lawcet convener Prof. V R C Krishnaiah and co-convener Prof. Durga Rao that 89 per cent of the students of III year, 82.11 per cent of V year and 99.27 per cent of the post-graduate courses were successful. They said in the III year course 90 per cent boys and 84.48 girls passed. In the V year course 84.10 per cent boys and 76.77 per cent girls were successful. However, in the PG course boys secured 99.18 per cent and girls 99.52 per cent pass.

In the III year course, R S Shravan Kumar secured I rank, T Sudhirbabu II rank and Nallapu Balakrishna III rank. In the five-year course, Banavath Koteshwar Rao got I rank, V Nagaraju II rank and Ajmira Mallesh III rank. In the PG law course, Mikkilineni Jyoti bagged I rank, Mamillapalli Venkataramana got II rank and Nagalakshmi III rank.

While there were no girls among the first ten rankers in the III and V year courses, women got the first two ranks in the PG course. Candidates from the Hyderabad region secured the first five ranks in the three courses. A candidate from Krishna district got II rank in the three-year course. The VC said efforts would be made to start at the earliest the admission process in coordination with the State Council.
