AP students came out with flying colors in the CBSE class X results that were declared on Sunday evening. The pass percentage of AP was 99.96per cent, surpassing last year's 99.91%. Only five boys and three girls who have appeared for the exams from AP have failed, according to DTS Rao, Regional Officer of CBSE Chennai region. But according to one particular analysis, students securing Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 10 (on a ten point scale) was little less compared to last year.

Several schools have performed appreciably well in the exams. Hyderabad Public School of Ramanthapur in Hyderabad has scored 100 percent result and 92 percentage of the 141 students got first class, according to Dr Narasimhareddy, Vice Principal. "13 students from our institution have scored 10 CGPA and 43 students secured 9-9.8 CGPA followed by 44 students scoring 8-8.8 CGPA" he told The Hans India. Some other schools which also performed well include all Kendriya Vidyalayas, Bharatiya VidyaBhavan- Sainikpuri and Jubilee Hills branches, Meridian School of Banjara Hills etc. Priyanka Tatikonda from Shathinikethan Vidyalaya, Sharmirpet and M Akshara from Sarathi School secured 10/10 GPA in the CBSE X results. CBSE has introduced Cumulative and Comprehensive Evaluation system (CCE) from class 6 onwards which paid dividends in determining the exact strengths of students. This was helpful in carving out his academic future, according to CBSE surveys. The grade system was now being followed in several state including Andhra Pradesh. CBSE class X exams were held between March 1- 15th.The results of Class XII will be released on Monday at 10 am.
