Naresh Kumar and SM Muneer Ali from Anwar-Ul-Uloom College of Business Management made them emerge as winners of the Hyderabad regional round of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2013. The sheer excitement was palpable at Taj Deccan on Sunday even as the six final teams battled it out for the championship in the Hyderabad regional round of the 9th edition of inter-collegiate business quiz. The chief guest V Rajanna, Vice-President and Regional Head, Global Head � Telecom Technology Business Unit, Tata Consultancy Services - Hyderabad felicitated the winners with a cash prize of Rs 75,000. The winning team from Hyderabad will now compete with the regional winners from across the 30 other cities, where the quiz is being organised. The runners-up team from Bhavan's Degree College was awarded a cash prize of Rs 35,000. The business quiz covered a lot of aspects from advertisements to people to science and technology. There were a few moments of fun that lightened the mood of the finalists. The fast-paced final rounds have almost everyone on the edge of their seats. There were 142 teams participating from 65 colleges. The top 6 teams of the quiz were selected after a preliminary written and a subsequent wild card round. The other four teams that qualified for the finals comprised of ISB, MVSR, St. Francis and Hyderabad Business School. The quiz was hosted by ace quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam a.k.a. Pickbrain. The regional winners from each of the cities will participate in the Zonal Finals in their respective zones. Zonal finals will be organised in Mumbai (West Zone), New Delhi (North Zone), Kolkata (East Zone) and Bengaluru (South Zone). The top two teams from each zone would battle it out for the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz title at the National Finals to be held in Mumbai on April 14, 2013. The mega International Final of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2013 will be organized in Mumbai where the winners and runners-up from the Indian edition of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2013 will compete with the winners and runner ups of the Singapore and UK editions, held earlier this financial year, to win the International Championship title.
