Exams are over and before the results blues take over, youngsters want to have fun. What better way to kill time than travel with your buddies to exciting destinations. The easiest way to travel is to get together, book a sleeper class train for an overnight journey to a familiar city like Chennai, Benguluru or Vizag and come back rejuvenated.

"Travel with friends is entirely different from travelling with family. With friends, you can be yourself. You all have the same wavelength in what to visit and what to see. I have found trips with friends great fun," says Navanith and his friend Sreeram who went for a two-day trip to Pondicherry in Dasara vacation. For those who prefer to travel in groups, there are clubs like Great Hyderabad Adventure Club (GHAC) that have affordable and practical travel plans.

Imagine sleep under the stars and factoring in scrambling and night camping at a fort? Sounds exciting? GHAC has an event coming up on the same lines. For less than Rs 400, you can take an overnight bus to Koli Konda in Mahbubnagar, 125 km from Hyderabad. While hanging out with people like you, one can experience nature, adventure and of course have loads of fun.

No need to fuss about spending because most youth hostels, YMCAs and YWCAs offer cheap and safe accommodation for a nominal fee sometimes as low as Rs 100 a night. A bunch of friends can even stay at an AC dormitory and have a good night's sleep in less than Rs 50 per head per night.

Aarti Patil from Loyola Academy says, "Masinagudi and Nilgiris are perfect destination for wild life lovers. More than 270 species of birds exist there, making it an Ornithologist's delight. The wild bamboo jungle offer refuge to a variety of wild life. The commonly sighted animals are Leopard, Elephant, Tiger, Guar, Wild dog, Sloth bear, Barking Deer, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Wild Boar, Python and Malabar Giant Squirrel. Kings Range is the perfect place if want to hang around with friends and family. They arrange a wild life safari, camp fire. One will also get to meet the tribal's in there."
