mg2The three-day jamboree at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT)- Nirvana-2013 has ended on Saturday on a grand note with hundreds of students showcasing their talent not just in engineering disciplines but in various extracurricular activities. Activities like Live Jive (Round-2), Short Film, Creative Writing, Super 6's, Photography, Sell Out, Live Jive(Finals), Voice Hunt (Finals), LAN Gaming, Dandiya, Fashion Show, etc. have taken place. Dr. B Ramakrishna Rao, Director � I, Defense Electronics Research Laboratory, Hyderabad who delivered the key speech at the validectory function, has called for more Industry-academia cooperation in the changed globalized environment. "If the engineering education is not moulded in such a way as to suit the needs of the industry, the problem of unemployment will swell manifolds. So, I strongly advocate for industry participation in the preparation of curriculum as well" he felt. He also spoke about the integrated missile technology, defense technology and sharing of ideas and knowledge. Sathaiah Potana, Vice President, Satyam Venture Engineering Services spoke about the working policies in private sector and business mantra to achieve success. Quality in production and reasonable pricing will help stabilize any firm, he exhorted.
