mec2 Pothula Shiva Harsha, who hails from a tiny village in Nizamabad, who dressed unassumingly in simple clothes, emerged to be the first student from Andhra Pradesh to bag the all-India first rank in aerospace engineering in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). With an unrelenting positive attitude, Harsha cracked the GATE-2013, scoring 73.33 out of 100, a press release from Singh's Institute for GATE Studies said. "It came as a shock to me. I could not believe that I bagged the first rank. I studied night and day for this and it is a dream come true for me and my family. I now intend to pursue my Masters in engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. My dream is to work as structural officer in the defence sector in India," the release quoted the 22-year-old Harsha, son of a two-wheeler mechanic P. Jadishwar and P. Hemalatha of Chandanagar, BHEL.
