More than 98 percent of students have appeared for the polytechnic entrance examination which was held on Thursday at 622 centres across the state.
Out of a total of 2,51,847 registered candidates, 2,47, 053 students have turned up for the exam.A Nearly 98.27% boys and 97.66% of girls took the exam, according to Ajay Jain, Commissioner of Technical Education.
Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Warangal and Vishakhapatnam accounted for highest turn out. No malpractice or any unfair means were recorded in the exam.
The Key will be notified on May 7, three days later than the announced date. The results will be declared on May 17 and the counselling process commences from June 6.
