pert2Prof. Anuradha Kapur, Director of the National School of Drama, New Delhi delivered the 4th Nataraja Ramakrishna Lecture at the University of Hyderabad, a press note said on Thursday. According to the release, she emphasised on the knowledge in the process of practice in an institution which can inform the students of different trends in the stream as well as around to identify the issues that find the new vocabulary. Speaking to the students, faculty and staff of the University, she said that this knowledge always creates new vocabulary to identify new forms of expression. Further she stated that it should be seen as knowledge and at the same time on the backdrop of different genealogies. Anuradha Kapur was unraveling the whole academic practices in arts in the backdrop of knowledge protection in the respective fields and how this knowledge protection simultaneously helps the process of production and expand or enhance the mental creative landscape of the students which opens up new lenses to look at the society and look at innovative new forms of expression in that backdrop. Awarded the Sangeet Natak Akedemi award for Direction in 2004, Anuradha has written widely on the theatre and taught and directed in India and abroad.
