The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) would train personnel of private agencies which will grant accreditation to schools, an official said on Thursday.

"The board will train persons from the 12 private agencies as peer assessors," Rama Sharma, CBSE chief public relations manager, said.

The accreditation would be awarded once the schools meet the domains of infrastructure, innovation and academics, Sharma said.

"The schools will have to pay a fee of Rs 50,000 for accreditation which will be renewed every three years," added Sharma. The initiative is being taken by the board to enhance the quality of school education.
