The Board of Intermediate Education has decided to enforce the rule that the Sanskrit paper should be answered hundred percent in Sanskrit only in the annual examinations. Though the decision was taken earlier, it was kept in abeyance. So far, the students, who have taken the Sanskrit as their second language, have been allowed to answer it in Telugu. “They have to write in Devnagari script only in their March-2014 exams” Ramshashank, Secretary, Inter Board made it clear.

The Board of Intermediate Education has decided to enforce the rule that the Sanskrit paper should be answered hundred percent in Sanskrit only in the annual examinations. Same rule is now being applied to Arabic also. All the students who choose Arabic as their second language have to answer the exam paper totally in Arabic. The syllabus for the second language subjects of Intermediate first year was revised and the Board of Intermediate Education has released the new books on Thursday. The syllabus of Telugu, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Arabic, Oriya, French, Kannada and Marathi under part II for first year Intermediate course was revised. The new books are available in the market, Ramshashank said.
