It was a memorable moment for the seven GNITians who went on a seven-day educational tour to United States of America, along with the Guru Nanak Institutions Managing Director Dr HS Saini and faculty A Priyanka. During the tour, students visited Pittsburg State University (PSU) where they had a campus tour and were briefed about various programmes available to them in the University.

Students were amazed to see the infrastructure of the university which is an outstanding Business School, according to the Princeton Review. At Los Angeles, students visited world famous theme parks – Universal Studio and Disney Land. The students, Simranjit Singh, Sanjana Jupudi, Udaya Sree, Jasbir Singh, Shamik Santra, Irani Paiman and Abhinav Reddy felt it was a enriching experience.

Says SimranJit Singh, III year CSE student about the experience, “We were also given the student experience which included the visits to the dorms, canteens and the local area. While in USA, I went for skydiving, which was one of the things that I had to prove to myself, that I could actually jump off a plane, which I did and have a never forgetting memory of that. Now, I am more determined to go USA for higher studies.”
Recalls Sanjana Jupudi, III year IT student, “I will always remember the time I had spent in PSU where I played badminton and table tennis. I was deeply moved by the friendly gesture of the faculty members of PSU. I would like to do my higher studies in the US.”
