St Peter’s interschool basketball tournament held

Hyderabad: St. Peter’s Residential School, Hyderabad invited schools for a knockout tournament for the first St. Peter’s Chairman’s Trophy Interschool Basketball Tournament to participate in the two-day tournament held at St. Peter’s Residential School - Kompally Campus on December 1-2. Six teams of boys and three teams of girls, volunteered to show their magic, technique and skills on the basketball court, totaling to about 120 participants.
As the tournament was declared opened by the chief guest T. Bala Reddy on a cold winter morning, thumping feet and flying baskets on either side with cheer leaders gave SPIRS the morning of their life.
In the first match St. Peter’s Residential School Boys Scored 44 – 11 against PACE school, Keesara. The second match, St. Peter’s Residential School Girls outdid Pallavi Model School with the score of 28-18.
The third match was well fought between the Boys of Pallavi Model School Vs DRS. DRS won with score of 26-24. The fourth match was between Pallavi Model School Girls & DRS girls. Pallavi won the match 18-16. In the first semifinal St. Peter’s won against Ivy League by 30-8 and in the second semifinal HAL won against DRS 37-14. The final between St. Peter’s and HAL School will be held today.
