Hyderabad: Additional DGP Santosh Mehra called upon teachers and parents to evolve an education system that helps build every student’s character. Now- a-days in the name of competition, students are getting addicted to western influences, which could be is detrimental to the society.
He was speaking after giving away awards on the conclusion of the DRS International School annual day on the school premises here on Sunday.
Mehra stated that students should depend less on electronic gadgets and rely more on their intellectual and creative outpourings to rise up the career ladder. Teachers and parents should change this mindset early so that students should shape their career at the blossoming stage itself.
In his address, Additional Commissioner GST, Anand Kumar, observed that people were living with the mistaken notion that one who is well educated will land up with plum government jobs. He said there was no connection between education and employment. Education is paramount and every youngster should study well for a meaningful career.
Former Additional DGP Gopinath Reddy said three things were required for a living-agriculture, business and employment and they can be achieved only by education. School Chairman Dayanand Agarwal presided while Managing Director AK Agarwal, School Principal Gourav Muradiya and members of the staff graced the occasion.
