Army Public School organises sky observation programme

Hyderabad: In order to enhance Space Science Concepts and inculcate Scientific Temper among students, Army Public School Golconda hosted a Sky Gazing at night for the students where they had a great opportunity of exploring the world of astrophysics. The students were excited as they got together to experience the calm and serene atmosphere persisting at the campus as well as on the sky on Saturday. 
 
Though they have been participating on this Sky Observation Programme every year, they found it as a unique experience to watch the sky beckoned by the stars. The budding amateur astronomers gazed the waxing gibbous Moon and the red planet Mars amidst innumerable twinkling stars. The excitement soared high as they had a glimpse of Fomalhaut, one of the brightest stars located between the Moon and the Mars.

The inquisitive learners also learnt about stellarium software and handling of telescope to see the realistic sky in 3D. The explorative experience not only ignited a keen interest to learn about the celestial bodies but also inspired them to delve deeper into the world of astronomy. Indeed it was a revitalizing experience to look at the manifestations of universe.
