The founder Chairman,K Prudhvipathi Rao, an eminent medical professional from USA, and the members of the Governing Body Abhijit Rao, Prof A M Pathan and Ajit Kumar, Executive Director of SNIST, P Narasimha Reddy, and Principal of the college,  T Ch Siva Reddy participated in the graduation ceremony.

In his address, the seasoned academic said: ‘This is a welcome development which is leading to national development due to their participation. Girls are working hard and I am sure that their careers will be good’ Prof Qamar affirmed. The Professor congratulated the Gold Medal winners of various branches of the college and he was very happy that eight of them are girls and only two are boys in ten Gold Medal winners.
Qamar reminded the graduates of Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology that the knowledge frontiers are exploding and by the time they graduate what is studied in I and II years become obsolete.

‘There is need for continuous learning after graduation in whatever profession they will be working.  Ability to learn new developments is very important to solve problems that arise in future. The technologies are fast changing and some technologies are disrupting the existing technologies and hence there is need for continuous learning and innovative thinking. Today even drivers are forced to learn how to deal with new technology cars’ he informed.

Adding further, he said : ‘The purpose of education is to become a better individual. We, as individuals, become selfish with a wrong notion that he / she only prosper. This type of thinking will lead the nation into stagnation and it will be end of progress of our nation.  Automation and Robotics have become so powerful that about 92 per cent of the jobs shall be carried out by machines. Due to onset of industry 4.0 there will be some industries in which all operations are carried out through automation and the factories of future do not need any human intervention.

This indicates that the engineers working already must be re-trained so that they will be engaged in other types of works or in development activities’.  Finally he reminded the graduates that education must build character and he wished all the fresh graduates all the best in their endeavours.

In his welcome address K T Mahi, Chairman of Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology that he is very glad that 18th Graduation Ceremony has highest number of graduates when compared to the earlier graduation ceremonies. He was also very happy that the graduates of SNIST are spread all over the world and doing well in whatever profession they chose.

He was of the view that engineering education of 21st century will be highly cross-disciplined and the graduates must be able to solve highly complex problems. Entrepreneurship is not easy for fresh graduates to take up. There is great need for the graduates to be shaped as lifelong learners. They must chose a path of their choice and pursue the same vigorously.    It is better that they must have some experience gained at the cost of somebody else, i.e. the industry which offered them a job.  Entrepreneurs should develop the skills for formation of teams and they should have very good inter-personal skills besides the technical skills. They must realise that competition they face today is not local, but in the world as a whole.
