With an objective to promote rural health in India, DesiMD Foundation, - an arm of the online DesiMD Healthcare organization - which specializes in online Active Health Management (AHM) services – conducted its second health camp in Angaluru village (Gadlavalleru Mandal of Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh), on March 21, 2016. This village was earlier adopted in September 2015,as a pilot project by Amar Sai Trust, which is led by Sharada Devi, for a free of cost, year-long convenience-based healthcare services.

"These are unique services because the healthcare does not end with the health camp, but will continue for a year, with periodic doctor consultation with members registered at the camp. The members have access to DesiMD primary doctor 24/7, through phone (040-42428282).for seeking advice and support of our doctors for any health problems. The goal is prevent and control Hypertension, Diabetes, Dental and Eye Problems faced by the Angaluru residents" said Sharada Devi, Sponsor of DesiMD Foundation's Angaluru village adoption health program.

Health Camp:The health camp was very well received by the Angaluru residents which was attended by over a 150 residents, who had a free doctor consultation and also got screened for vital health parameters, hypertension, diabetes, dental and eye problemsat the camp. Their Personal Health Records (PHRs) will be documented online on desimd.com for continuous monitoring of their health by DesiMD primary doctors for a year. This is the first of its kind.

The health camp was conducted in the presence of DhanaKoteshwar Rao, President of Angaluru and VP of Angaluru, along with MrRajababu, Saibaba temple donor) at the Saibaba Temple Trust and other important people like the Nagavalli couple.The camp's objective is to control and prevent diseases especially, hypertension, diabetes, eye and dental problems, besides obesity associated diseases.

The elderly members were Shantamma, said, that this service is very convenient for her as she can reach DesiMD doctor 24/7 and need not travel to go to a clinic.
