Hyderabad: Jagan Mohan Rao, chief of Telangana Fencing Association, on Sunday felicitated Rajiv Mehta, Secretary General, Indian Olympic Association and president of Fencing Association of India (FAI) on his tour to Hyderabad.

He along with Basheer Ahmed Khan, Secretary General FAI are in the city to oversee whether the Telangana Fencing Association can meet the requirements for conducting Commonwealth Fencing Championship in Hyderabad as they had expressed their interest towards Hyderabad for conducting the championship.

During the meeting with Rajiv Mehta, the members of Telangana Fencing Association, along with Jagan Mohan Rao briefed why Hyderabad could be a favourable location to conduct the championship and the dignitaries have also expressed their interest towards the proposal.

Rajiv Mehta also congratulated new body of Telangana Fencing Association.
