Apollo Tyres - Hotfut Youth League kicks off in Hyd
Twenty Four teams from the city squares off in the 2nd Apollo Tyres - Hotfut Youth League, an Inter-Academy 5-a-side Football Tournament, held at Hotfut’s home turf in Begumpet on Sunday.
Hyderabad: Twenty Four teams from the city squares off in the 2nd Apollo Tyres - Hotfut Youth League, an Inter-Academy 5-a-side Football Tournament, held at Hotfut's home turf in Begumpet on Sunday.
The 2nd edition of Apollo TyresHotfut Youth League 2019 will be stretched over a 3-month period and played in a league style format every Sunday.
Hotfut Youth League primarily aims at promoting football at the grassroots level and lays focuss on Under-10, 12 and 14 age groups keeping in mind the country's upcoming and fast budding talent.
Saleel Dev, Regional Sales Head, Apollo Tyres (AP, Telangana & Karnataka), Youhan Mistry, Managing Partner (HotFut Hyderabad), Danesh Mistry, Managing Partner (HotFut Hyderabad) were present at the inaugural ceremony.
"It is our pleasure to be associated with some of the reputed brands, which includes Apollo Tyres (Title Sponsor), along with Nivia (Equipment Partner) and South United Football club (scouting partners) who are offering scholarship opportunities at their 5-star residential academy in Bangalore," said Sanjeev Bajaj, Tournament Director.
The teams participating in the tournament are from reputable schools and academies in and around Hyderabad and includes Abbas Union FC, Skykings Football Academy, HotFut Academy, Reeds Football Academy, Rock 5, Zidane FC, USFC and Neighbourhood United FC.
The winners and runners-up of the Apollo TyresHotfut Youth League 2019 would receive trophies and medals, as well as certificates and gift vouchers, while every age-group shall have individual awards lined up, which include Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer and Best Player.
