Chandigarh right arm spinner Kaswi Goutham has set World Record by claiming 10 wickets in 4.5 overs and conceeding just 12 runs during the Under-19 Women Interstate Cricket Tournament between Chandigarh and Arunachal Pradesh here at Raja Reddy Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Kadapa: Chandigarh right arm spinner Kaswi Goutham has set World Record by claiming 10 wickets in 4.5 overs and conceeding just 12 runs during the Under-19 Women Interstate Cricket Tournament between Chandigarh and Arunachal Pradesh here at Raja Reddy Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Kaswi Goutham who also set an All India record by securing 31 wickets in under-23 women cricket tournament in the past, came from middle-income family. Her father Sudesh Sharma is a realtor, mother Seema Sharma a house wife and her sister Asish Sharma is studying in class 7.

Kaswi Goutham is studying intermediate in a government college in Chandigarh. Earlier she has played for Under-16, 19 and 23 women cricket tournaments.

Expressing happiness over securing 10 wickets including three hatricks, Kaswi Goutham said that her aim is to become world class cricketer and wished cooperation from the government.
