St. Francis College wins overall championship title

Hyderabad: St. Francis College secured the women’s overall swimming championship with 15 points at the Inter-College Swimming Tournament 2026–27 held at the GHMC Swimming Pool, Amberpet here on Wednesday.

St. Francis swimmers delivered strong performances across various events. G Saharsha won the 50m Breaststroke, while Harshita emerged victorious in the 100m Breaststroke. G Sahastra also claimed the 200m Freestyle title, adding valuable points to the college’s championship tally.

Tapasya’s Sudiksha Krishna was among the standout performers, winning the 50m Butterfly, 50m Freestyle and 100m Freestyle events. CBIT’s P Nipunitha also impressed by securing first place in both the 50m and 100m Backstroke.

Athletes from Reddy College and Kasturba College also registered podium finishes. The tournament provided a competitive platform for college swimmers and showcased promising sporting talent.
