Netflix service free for two days; Know how to avail it
Netflix StreamFest will offer two days of free streaming to the Indian users on December 5-6.
Netflix will give people in India a full weekend of free streaming on its platform. Netflix will host StreamFest on December 5-6, where anyone can log into Netflix and watch movies, TV shows, documentaries, and more.
Netflix StreamFest will start at precisely 12:01 a.m. and will end on December 6 at 11:59 p.m. Netflix will allow a standard definition broadcast on StreamFest. Unlike how Netflix streaming works, this will allow only one user to stream from an account. You can create one via this link or by downloading the Android app.
Creating a Netflix account is limited to your Android app and browser, but you can stream it from any device. StreamFest also supports streaming to larger screens. You can also set up a StreamFest reminder with your email address or phone number via the same link.
Not only free streaming, but StreamFest will also give you access to all Netflix features such as profiles, parental controls, list building, movie and show downloading. But since the free streaming is only for two days, most likely you will be drawn into it by watching movies and shows.
Netflix is very likely to witness a massive increase in traffic with free streaming available to everyone in India. Netflix said it would limit the number of viewers for StreamFest, but has not specified any limitations till now. It will display a message saying "StreamFest is at capacity" if it reaches the maximum number of viewers. You will still get notified when you can start streaming it again.
Greg Peters, Netflix's chief operating officer and chief product officer, announced the free streaming plan during the company's recent earnings call. The company is testing this first in India and based on the feedback, and it will move things forward.
