According to SamMobile the update has a download size of 516.69 MB. Carries firmware version S91xBXXUAGZIF. The update is currently available for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra with Samsung expected to expand availability across regions. I find the update interesting.

As, with big software rollouts the exact timing can depend on the market, the carrier and the particular model variant. I understand how frustrating it can be when the update does not arrive. In that case users may have to wait a bit for the update.

Which Galaxy phones are eligible?

The latest update is now listed for a broader selection of recent Galaxy smartphones. Eligible foldable models include the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Z TriFold, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5.

Among the Galaxy S lineup, supported devices include the S25 series, S24 series and S23 series, including their Plus, Ultra, Edge and FE variants.

Samsung has also included the Galaxy A57, A37, A27, A56 and A36. However, the rollout schedule can vary based on the country, carrier and specific device variant.

What does One UI 9.0 bring?

One UI 9.0 brings changes compared to One UI 8.5. Samsung has added options for customising the Quick Panel. There are also updates to Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes. The update includes accessibility improvements, for devices that support it.

Privacy is another area getting focus. One UI 9.0 introduces a location privacy indicator. At the time new AI features were built to make personalisation better and improve everyday usability.

How to check for the update

Galaxy S23 users can check if One UI 9.0 is available, by going to Settings. Then they should choose Software Update. After that they need to tap Download and install. If the update does not appear users might have to wait. Samsung may not have made the update available yet. This could be because of the user’s region. It could also be because of the device they are using.

Is One UI 9.5 coming to Galaxy S23?

Galaxy S23 series was launched in February 2023. It was launched with Android 13 and One UI 5.1. Samsung promised that the Galaxy S23 series would get four Android upgrades. Samsung also promised five years of security updates, for the Galaxy S23 series.

With One UI 9.0 being the major update for Android it seems unlikely that a version like One UI 9.5 will arrive anytime soon. Still Samsung has not officially shared a software plan for the Galaxy S23 series.
