Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Tuesday said 141 missing senior citizens are traced during this year. Along with Additional CP, Crimes and SIT, Shikha Goel and other senior police officials, CP commemorated the International Day of Older Persons and celebrated the day with senior citizens in his office at Basheerbagh.

In the presence of members from the Tata Trust and HelpAge India, the commissioner interacted over video conference with senior citizens from 61 different locations across the city where the SHOs and other officers of the city police have participated.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that city police have successfully registered 12,561 senior citizens over the past one week and DCPs, ACPs, SHOs and SIs have visited the senior citizens and interacted with them by asking their problems.

He said city police has dedicated the entire month of October for the cause of senior citizens with the aim to register 50,000 senior citizens during this month. He said that till now they have traced 210 missing cases of senior citizens during the year of 2018.
