Three children who went for a swim in a lake were drowned on Sunday here at Rajoli mandal of Jogulamba Gadwal district.
Charan (7), Shivaiah (9) and Yugandhar (6) all residents of Sriram Nagar Colony went for swimming at Peddavagu on Sunday morning along with other two children Madhu and Vamsi.
While Madhu and Vami left home for lunch, the other three children kept playing in the lake.
The parents of the children launched a search after the latter did not return home for lunch. Around 8 pm at night, the bodies of children were fished out by the police.
A case was registered by the police.
