Telangana health minister Eatala Rajender announced that 33 COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in the state and the reports of more 97 suspected cases are awaited. He asked the citizens to stay indoors during the 14-day period.

Speaking at a press conference, the minister said the people who under quarantine at the hospital will be discharged after the tests and stern action will be initiated on those put under home quarantine found wandering outside. They will be tracked by the mobile phone signal and cases will be registered.

"The interest that showed during Janata Curfew has not been seen today," said Eatala Rajender appealing the people to stay home till March 31. Enraged with the people's move, the minister questioned as to what is important? -- life or work.

He also made it clear that no medical staff should avail the leave and even the staff at private hospitals should attend duties. The private hospitals will be utilized if the situation worsened in the city, said the minister announcing the cancellation of out-patient services.

Eatala also urged not to visit the hospitals until there is an emergency and further asked to cooperate with the government.
