BJP demands public apology from Revanth Reddy over remarks on Hindu deities

Kumuram Bheem Asifabad: BJP District President Dhoni Srishailam has demanded that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy publicly apologize for remarks that, according to the BJP, hurt Hindu sentiments and were disrespectful toward Hindu deities. The BJP organized a protest at Kumaram Bheem Junction on Tuesday, during which party leaders burned an effigy of the Chief Minister in condemnation of the alleged remarks.

Addressing the gathering, Srishailam said that making comments that allegedly disparage Hindu Dharma and Hindu sentiments was inappropriate. He criticized the Chief Minister and alleged that making remarks against Hindu deities for political or electoral purposes could have adverse consequences. Srishailam demanded that Revanth Reddy withdraw the remarks and issue a public apology to the Hindu community.

District General Secretary Arigela Mallikarjun, District Vice President Vishal, BJYM District President Elagathi Suchith, Asifabad Mandal President Sunkari Pentaiah, Tiryani Mandal President Sara Ramesh Goud, BJP leader Akula Santhosh and others participated in the protest.
