Choutuppal (Yadadri-Bhongir): Ministers G Jagadish Reddy and A Indrakaran Reddy on Thursday inaugurated the model natural forest 'Thangedu Vanam' at Lakkaram village of Choutuppal mandal.

The park was developed in 140 acres with an estimated cost of Rs 3.45 crore in Miyawaki model and open to public and stood as a special attraction on Hyderabad- Vijayawada highway.

Speaking on this occasion, Minister for Forest and Environment Allola Indrakaran Reddy said that he was very happy to inaugurate the Urban Park Tangedu Vanam on the day of the launching of sixth phase of Haritha Haram across the State.

Telangana took top position in the country in increasing forest coverage on par with other programmes of the State, he added.

Indrakaran Reddy stated Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao took up Haritha Haram programme to create healthy environment in the State in the interest of future generations and added that crores of saplings are being planted under this programme in a phased manner.

Minister Jagadish Reddy stated that Hyderabad-Vijayawada national highway has been transformed as green highway after the CM planted sapling on NH-65.

The duo Ministers assured for establishment of parks like Tangedu Vanam in all constituencies in the erstwhile Nalgonda district.
