  • CLP to merge with TRSLP after the three Congress MLAs defects to TRS
  • Congress will also set to lose its opposition status in the assembly

All set for the official merger of CLP in TRSLP with the joining of three more Congress MLAs into the ruling party. The Congress party which had won 13 assembly seats is now left with nine MLAs of which three are planning to join TRS. If the rumours of another three Congress MLAs joining the TRS are believed to be true, then the Congress party is going to lose its opposition status in the assembly.

The strength of the TRS party will increase further in the assembly with the join of the three MLAs following which the CLP will officially merge into the state assembly. It is learned that the TRS is planning to submit a letter to the speaker with the signatures of all the 13 MLAs from Congress seeking the merger.

It is believed that the TRS party is planning to finish up the process before the commencement of assembly session in June first week.
