CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and MLA D Sridhar Babu says the Chief Minister should discriminate in making aid available to one and all in the State

Hyderabad: The Congress Party has demanded that the Chief Minister extend the Rs 10 lakh benefit to all the families in the State in the same manner he did in Chintamadaka village.

The Congress party warned that it would organise agitation if the government failed to meet its demand. Addressing the media here on Thursday, CLP leader in the Assembly Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and MLA D Sridhar Babu said they had no objection if the programme was named as "Chintamadaka programme."

Vikramarka said the Chief Minister had announced Rs 10 lakh aid to each family in Chintamadaka, his native village.

He said the programme should not be limited to the Chief Minister's native village, but should be extended to all the families in the state. "All have the right to get such a benefit," he said.

He said the Chief Minister, who took oath that he would not give place to affection, could not limit a scheme like Rs 10 lakh benefit only to members of his native village.

He warned that if the Chief Minister did not extend the scheme to all the people, it will have negative impact. He made it clear that the people should be given equal opportunities.

Sridhar Babu said that the editors of the dailies and channels, who would be taken to the visit of Kaleswaram project, should also interact with the oustees.
