Hyderabad: Senior Congress Leader Jeevan Reddy on Monday approached the Telangana High Court seeking interim direction to the State government against demolition of Secretariat buildings.

Jeevan Reddy, in his petition, alleged that the reason cited for demolition of buildings was "Vaastu" and it was not a valid ground. The petitioner prayed the court for immediat intervention to stall the government's plan to demolish Secretariat buildings.

The petitioner first approached the court in the year 2016 against the demolition of Secretariat buildings and the then Advocate General submitted to the court that the government was not contemplating any such move.

Jeevan Reddy knocked on the doors of the High Court once again as news about the State government deciding to demolish the Secretariat buildings was doing rounds. Advocate Satyam Reddy filed the petition on behalf of Jeevan Reddy. The court posted the matter to next Friday for hearing.
