Assembly witnesses verbal duel between minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy

Hyderabad: Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy on Saturday spit fire on the ruling TRS party for its failure to keep the promises it has made to the people and demanded apology from it to the people for not completing the double bedroom houses.

He was speaking in the Assembly during the debate on the Thanksgiving Motion to the speech of the Governor to the joint session of the Assembly and Council. He had a verbal duel with minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao.

The argument between the minister and the MLA took place when the latter accused that the government was biased in executing the irrigation projects. He alleged that while Kaleswaram project was constructed with rapid pace, the Palamuru and Dindi projects have been neglected. The minister objected to this and said that people would chase away Rajagopal Reddy if he goes to the villages. He said that Warangal and other districts have been immensely benefited with the Kaleswaram. The minister virtually shouted at the MLA and the MLA answered him in same tone.

Refuting the comments of the minister, the MLA said that all know from where Dayakar Rao has come. He said that they were with present Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao when he was leading Telangana movement and Dayakar Rao was nowhere at that time.

He alleged that the works of Sivanna Gudem reservoir were not completed while all the works of the Mallanna Sagar have been done. The MLA alleged that there was no rational in creating 33 districts in the State and there were not guidelines to form them.

He alleged that job to each household was not kept, locals were not given jobs in the industries being set up in his own district, the Mission Bhagiratha project was not completed though Rs 50,000 crores have been spent, water table was going down because of round-the-clock power supply to agriculture, and no one knows where the secretariat is and ministers sit.

Earlier he alleged that there was no democracy in the State, the MLAs have been bought away, the opposition was not allowed to speak, the local body elections were won by TRS with money power, the TRS has no courage to face criticism, poor people were not visiting the government hospitals and not sending their children to government schools.

Stating that time will come when TRS would be taught a lesson, the MLA said that though the Kauravas were 100 and Pandavas were just five, the latter won the battle ultimately. The 2BHK houses were constructed only in villages of Chintamadaka, Erravelli, and constituencies like Siricilla and Siddipet.
