The Congress party released its first list of eight candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections late on Friday night. AICC chief Rahul Gandhi held the Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting under the supervision of Sonia Gandhi which concluded around 10.30 pm on Friday.

The meeting was attended by UPA convenor Sonia Gandhi, AICC treasurer Ahmed Patel, AICC Telangana in charge RC Kuntia, PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka.

After the meeting, the Congress party announced eight candidates in the first list for 17 Lok Sabha seats.

Malkajgiri - Revanth Reddy

Adilabad (SC) - Ramesh Rathod

Peddapalli (SC) - M Chandrasekhar

Karimnagar - Ponnam Prabhakar

Zaheerabad - K Madanmohan Rao

Medak - Gali Anil Kumar

Mahabubabad (ST) - Balaram Naik
