Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Secretary Mohammad Saleem on Monday came down heavily on MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi for extending support to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
In a statement, Saleem accused Owaisi for dividing secular votes and trying to help the BJP to come to power indirectly.
He said the MIM had joined hands with the TRS to support the BJP and discreetly supported the anti-people's programmes of the NDA govt.
Terming Owaisi as a hypocrite, Saleem said the TRS never opposed mob lynching, Gharvapsi or any other 'diabolic' actions of the BJP and its Sangh Parivar.
MIM MLAs in Maharashtra abstained from voting during no confidence motion in Maharashtra Assembly to support the BJP government, he rued.
Saleem asked the MIM to take promise from the TRS on 12 per cent reservations before extending support to that party.
