As many as five resolutions were tabled in the first Satavahana Urban Development Authority (SUDA) meeting chaired by SUDA Chairman GV Rama Krishna Rao here at the council hall of the City Municipal Corporation in Karimnagar on Saturday.
Karimnagar: As many as five resolutions were tabled in the first Satavahana Urban Development Authority (SUDA) meeting chaired by SUDA Chairman GV Rama Krishna Rao here at the council hall of the City Municipal Corporation in Karimnagar on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Rama Krishna Rao said that five resolutions are table in the meeting. The first resolution is to establish a nursery which can grow about 1 lakh saplings, second, to beautify the city by identifying three junctions, third to take ZP hall on lease, fourth purchasing of required furniture and the last to appoint the required staff.
Due to election code the meeting was not conducted till date even after completion of one year of SUDA formation. All the necessary steps would be taken for the development of about 72 merged villages, City Municipal Corporation and one municipality which lies under SUDA, he assured.
By identifying the government vacant lands as many as 1 lakh saplings will be planted under SUDA limits to implement the afforestation programme Haritha Haram introduced by the State government, he added.
Later, the SUDA executive members were felicitated in the presence of MLA Gangula Kamalakar and MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao. The SUDA Vice-Chairman Venu Gopal Reddy, City Planner Purshotham, ACP Vandhanam and SUDA members were present.
