Ganesh immersion in Asifabad today

Asifabad: District Collector K Haritha directed officials to efficiently manage the Vinayaka immersion process and ensure all necessary arrangements are made at the immersion sites. On Thursday, she inspected the surroundings of Peddavagu at Godavelli—the designated immersion site near the district headquarters—accompanied by Revenue Divisional Officer Lokeshwar Rao, Mandal Tahsildar Riyaz Ali, Municipal Commissioner Anjaiah, and Municipal Chairperson Mengre Akash.

The District Collector noted that the approach road had become muddy due to recent rains and ordered the immediate filling of potholes. She instructed officials to keep a generator available to ensure adequate lighting at the immersion site. She also directed that expert swimmers be stationed at the stream during the immersion and that all necessary measures be taken to ensure the process concludes peacefully. Furthermore, she ordered the deployment of police security at the immersion site.

Officials and staff from the Revenue and Municipal departments, along with other concerned officials, participated in the programme.
