Gold worth Rs 49 L seized in Hyderabad airport

The Customs officials on Saturday seized 1.5kg of gold from a passenger who arrived in Hyderabad from Dubai at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) here at Shamshabad. The worth of gold is estimated to be of Rs 49 lakh.
According to the officials, the passenger concealed the gold in the form of paste in his innerwear and was trying to smuggle it to the city. The passenger was arrested and sent for questioning.
