Patancheru: Residents of Patancheru Industrial Estate actively participated in the Janata Curfew observed on Sunday. All business and other establishments, except the essential services, remained closed during the day, in response to the call issued by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Sangareddy is among the 75 districts across the country which have announced lockdown till March 31.

People remained indoors since the morning hours and came forward to drive away the dreaded virus. The bus stops were deserted and also the national highway, as no TSRTC services were operated. No industry was open as the local industrial association gave a call for bandh. The Amazon godown operated as usual. All shops and establishments were closed, except essential services, and participated in the curfew.

People of the town expressed their solidarity with curfew and hailed those working for the government to tackle Coronavirus by clapping their hands. The family members of local MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy clapped in front of their houses.

Reddy expressed happiness over the public declaring war against the virus by responding to the call issued by both the Central and State governments.
