The Telangana Congress has decided to raise the issues of the farmers of the State in the Parliament and in the Assembly prominently at a meeting of its legislators and parliamentarians.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress has decided to raise the issues of the farmers of the State in the Parliament and in the Assembly prominently at a meeting of its legislators and parliamentarians.

The PCC has held the meeting in which MLAs Bhatti Vikramarka, T Jagga Reddy, MLC T Jeevan Reddy, MP and PCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Congress Kisan Cell national vice chairman M Kodanda Reddy and others participated.

Giving the details of the meeting, Kodanda Reddy said that the bill of the new Revenue Act should be presented to the Assembly. He said that the Congress would support it. MLC Jeevan Reddy said that there was no clarity on the crop loan waiver.

He said that as many as 6,000 farmers have died so far. The Rythu Bima and Rythu Bandhu schemes are not reaching all. The RB scheme has been limited only to farmers of three acres.

He demanded that the RB should be implemented to all without reservations. The compensation to the families of the farmers who have died should be released. Red Gram crop should be purchased.

MLA Jagga Reddy said that while Congress distributed land to the SC and ST farmers, the TRS government is snatching them away from them. He said that the PCC has decided to fight on behalf of the farmers.
