Hyderabad: The High Court On Tuesday held a hearing on Writ Petitions challenging the phenomenal fee hike by the private unaided minority, non-minority professional medical and dental professional courses for the period 2020-2023.

The order dated May 20 has been modified by the High Court directing the colleges to collect only 50 per cent of the total fee mentioned in the impugned G.O Ms. No. 20 for CAT-A and to collect only 60 per cent of the total fee mentioned in the impugned G.O Ms. No. 20.

Further, at the specific request of the advocate for the petitioners, Sandeep Reddy Sama, the High Court has made today's order applicable for all the students instead of confining it only to the petitioners as per its earlier order dated May 20.
