Malkajgiri: The Representatives of Hyderabad Union of Journalists met the Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Dairy and Cinematography, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, at his residence on Wednesday, and submitted a memorandum urging him to take the several pending demands of journalists to the notice of CM and help in resolving them.

They recalled the CM KCR's promises to journalists who played an important role in the formation of state, and lamented that the promises such as plots for housing still remained unfulfilled. The health cards given to journalists under EJHS scheme worked for first three years but for over one year the cards were being acceptable at only two hospitals, they said. Journalists demanded that free medical services be provided to them at all the hospitals under Arogyasri scheme. Among those who met the minister were HUJ president Riaz Ahmed, secretary Shiga Shankar, TUWJ state leaders V Yadagiri, A Rajesh, Gujjula Ramesh, Ibrahim, Mallikarjun Reddy, Venkatesh and others.
