Hyderabad: Kamineni RHS flyover, LB Nagar underpass to be opened soon

Hyderabad: After the first level flyover at Biodiversity junction which is thrown open to traffic on Thursday, the GHMC is gearing up for the opening of the Right Hand Side flyover at Kamineni junction and an underpass at LB Nagar which are being constructed as a part of Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP).
The underpass at LB Nagar was built at a cost of Rs 14 crore and the flyover at Kamineni junction at Rs 43 crore. Both the projects are being constructed under SRDP package II at a cost of Rs 448 crore. The 519-metre long LB Nagar underpass will facilitate the smooth flow of traffic from Owaisi hospital towards Secunderabad.
The Left Hand Side flyover at LB Nagar was already opened to traffic last year. With the opening of the RHS flyover, the traffic will ease towards the Outer Ring Road (ORR). The GHMC has plans to re-open the two projects in a week.
The Telangana government has focused on the construction of flyover and road repair works after the lockdown was announced in the state. Following the Covid-19 precautionary measures, the government asked the authorities to expedite the construction work making the most of the lockdown.
