Hyderabad: Military braces to fight out Corona spread in Secunderabad

Secunderabad: The COVID-19 has reached alarming proportions and prevention seems to be the best cure in the present circumstances.

In compliance with advisories issued by the Government of India, the Telangana State and IHQ of Ministry of Defence, military authorities in Secunderabad are taking various steps to contain the virus and prevent any occurrence among serving and veteran community.

All places where crowding is likely to take place, like unit run canteens, institutes, swimming pools have been closed until further notices.

Similarly, attendance at ECHS polyclinics is being regulated. Veterans community in Hyderabad have greatly welcomed and supported the efforts of the military authorities for putting in place all measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The virus affects the elderly more critically and, therefore, all veterans have preferred to stay home for the immediate temporary period. Adequate measures have been instituted at Military Hospital level for treatment for serving personnel.

Initial assessment at Military Hospital and treatment at empaneled hospitals of Telangana for veterans have also been put in place. All actions are being taken by the military authorities in consonance with directories received from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as well as DoPT.

In addition, compliance to all instructions issued by the Government of Telangana and the Defence Forces are being ruthlessly enforced as part of a joint effort to combat the Corona threat.
