Hyderabad: senior citizens form circle committee in Malkajgiri
A new senior citizens committee for the GHMC circle was formed here on Monday.
Malkajgiri: A new senior citizens committee for the GHMC circle was formed here on Monday. As many as 19 senior citizens associations (Asara) committees of the Malkajgiri GHMC circle held a meeting at Indira Mahila Bhavan, at the crossroads and elected a new committee.
T Dasharath, GHMC deputy commissioner, was elected as president of the committee. Other members of the committee include: Shankar, GHMC additional commissioner, as the committee advisor; RTD project officer B Ashok Kumar, Krishna Reddy and Daniel as organising secretaries; Veeraswamy as vice president, Srinivas Reddy as secretary, Venkata Subbaiah as joint secetary; Acharya as treasurer and S Ramadasu as joint secretary. Speaking on the occasion, deputy commissioner T Dasharath said that the committee was elected unanimously and the committee would help senior citizens get benefits from various government schemes.
